This award is constituted since 1999 titled after the founder of the noble entity ICBF, Late Shri. M.A. Kanjani. He was the key person who brought up the idea of charity in association with Embassy of India that later termed as ICBF. In the initial stage all the meetings and related activities coordinated from his house itself.
Mr. Kunhi was one of the volunteer team captains to coordinate ICBF Food Distribution and other related community benevolent activities. His tireless involvement specially to reach out the Doha outskirts was highly commendable.
Mr. Irfan was the key coordinator between ICBF and low-income workers from India’s North Eastern region. His contributions in arranging repatriation flights to North East states of India through Vande Bharath Mission and Charter flights are to be recognized thankfully. He was also instrumental in obtaining CRIMINAL EVIDENCES AND INFORMATION DEPARTMENT (CEID) clearance for the repatriating travelers who had travel ban and related issues.
Mr. Rakesh donated 1250 food kits to ICBF for distribution. The value of his donation is approximately QRS.s. 70,000/-.
Mr. Atul has contributed QRS.s. 18,000/- towards ICBF Covid related activities through his personal campaign among his friends and family circle. Above all he is a regular financial supporter of ICBF all these years.
Mrs. Jayati served as Cultural Secretary for ICC and her contributions while her tenure is highly commendable. Her active involvement in the Vande Bharath Mission also to be well noted. She is a long-term member of various socio – cultural organizations and Indian Embassy Apex bodies.
One of the prominent social activists who was very much involved in Covid – 19 relief activities. One of the Committee Members to support ‘Vande Bharat Mission’ and was responsible for Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Uttarakhand repatriation flights. Mr. Rajneesh is also actively involved in socio cultural activities by Indian Cultural Centre (ICC) and North Indians Association. He was member of the ‘Passage to India- 202’ Festival’s Organizing Committee and successfully led the ‘Infrastructure Committee’, which played crucial role in flawlessly organizing this prestigious Community Event. Mr. Rajneesh also assisted many other community members who approached us for the support during COVID-19 Peak period in Qatar.
Mr. Muniyappan did highly commendable service during Covid-19 especially in Coordinating VBM flights to Trichy. Around 1200 much needy people including fishermen were identified and food kits were distributed through him. Counselling sessions were arranged for few people in order overcome from their depression.
Dr. Sonal Sharma is an active community member and associated with various socio – cultural organizations including Punarjani, OFWA and ICBF. She is a constant part of many medical camps and blood donation camps for blue collar workers, fund raiser programs and counselling sessions. She Executed key role in operating Jaipur repatriation flights in coordination with senior community leaders and embassy.
Mr. Bidya Bhusan is a noble community activist and a well-known philanthropist. His financial contributions during the natural disasters occurred at Kerala and Orissa was remarkable. He was also at the forefront to coordinate VBM and Charter flights to his region. Apart from all these Mr. Bidya Bhushan is a long-term supporter of ICBF.
One of the most active community activists with strong presence in ICC, IBPC and ICBF and served former Vice Presidentship and presidentship of ICBF. He also served as MC member of IBPC
Mr. Shihab is a noble gentleman who has contributed an astonishing work during the pandemic. He spent 72 days of his valuable life days with Covid positive patients who were admitted at Mekaines, one of the shelter points far from city for low paid workers. All these days when everybody was afraid to contact Covid patients this noble man stayed in the shelter house to provide and personal care to those panic patients. He has suspended all his official activities related to his business and dedicated his time for the poor low-income patients.
Mr. KS Prasad was the key person to coordinate the Vande Bharath Mission flights and other charter flights to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states for repatriation purpose. He was also former MC Member of ICC
Mr. Bhullar is part of various Socio – Cultural Organizations since starting of his residency here in Qatar. He was also part of Indian Embassy Apex bodies as well. He was an active community member in the Covid distress relief team.
He is one of the internal auditors of ICBF with free service and a financial supporter. He served as former treasurer for ICC and ICBF
Mr. Sathish never hesitate to donate money to ICBF for various philanthropic activities.
Mr. Sasi Patra is the one who coordinates various aids from the school to ICBF such as food materials. ICBF thankfully remember his support and assistance by providing school auditorium and related services such as obtaining necessary government permissions to conduct ICBF events
HMC General Ward is a place where we see most common low-income community members from different parts of the world. ICBF thankfully remember his friendliness and kindness to inpatients especially those underprivileged Indians.
Mr. Hari Krishnan was instrumental in making the ICBF Life Insurance Scheme a reality. He made the whole process simple for ICBF and thus hundreds of Indian Community Members are benefited through the Insurance program.
Mr. Bhatt served for ICBF in past 4 years Knowing the different labour camps in Al Khor industrial area and near Ras laffan industrial city. He was in regular touch with industrial work force as well as fishermen.
During the pandemic he approached to people who are in need through phone call and be part of ICBF drive to supply necessary items to the people in need and helped to buy groceries for the needy personnel. Many houses rent issues sorted out that came through ICBF. Coordinated to take special appointments for renewal of passports for the poor Indian fishermen during the pandemic who were having trouble to reach out Embassy for the same.
A well-known entrepreneur rather a hard-core philanthropist. Mr. Muktar and his team is always there to support ICBF activities especially in arranging free medicines to poor low paid workers and other medical related support to the community through ICBF. He is also making financial supports to ICBF and related philanthropic activities.
Mr. Sameer is a pure philanthropist by nature. His remarkable contributions to ICBF is truly commendable especially in arranging financial and volunteer support for various programs. During the initial stages of the pandemic Mr. Sameer is one of the prime persons to coordinate VBM and other Charter flights to North Eastern India. By all means Mr. Sameer was an active community member in the Covid distress relief team.
Ms. Anushka stand apart from her 12th standard fellow students by being a born philanthropist. She always volunteered for ICBF medical camps and blood donation camps. She volunteered in health-related camps conducted by ICBF and the numbers are numerous. Simple yet effective fund collection among the friend’s circle with her fellow students to support Covid distress relief fund was something amazing at her age. ICBF appreciate and encourage the true philanthropist within.
Ms. Aarti stands apart from the other working women due to her seamless and tireless services to inmates of Hamad Hospital Cancer Rehabilitation Centre. She was the key person to conduct art exhibitions for the mental health and happiness of those patients who almost lost hope in life. We can consider her contributions as a ‘healing hand’ in the corridors of Cancer Rehabilitation Centre.
His support to ICBF is highly commendable. Whenever there is a situation for ICBF related to Hamad Hospital such as an emergency assistance for a critical patient or any other mater Mr. Abdul Aziz never hesitated to support.
Mr. Mehboob is a noble soul and part of ‘Mayyathu Paripalana Committee’ a division of KMCC Qatar to coordinate sending Mortal Remains to India. In the event of death of any community member regardless of the cast, religion and region the team coordinate all formalities related to Hospital and other government departments to send Mortal Remains to India.
Ms. Kusum was coordinating financial support to Indian workers who were in distress especially with the debts at local grocery shops. She also Provided grocery items to several Indian families who lost their jobs, supporting their basic survival and helped families with their rent and clothing. Ms. Kusum also coordinated to fetch job opportunities as and when it was possible for those who lost jobs during the pandemic. Through IWA and NIA Ms. Kusum always at the forefront to initiate help and support to those who were affected by Covid – 19.
